Happy Thanksgiving

A bit about this photo: I messed it up on so many levels, from taking the shot through editing. I don’t always use DOF when I take a photo because it often leaves “ghosting” around the edges and the hair alphas look awful. Well, I should have used it this time because the background was so complex that it took me forever to add it back in. I’m not completely happy with the way it turned out, but… it’s fine. I’m embracing the mantra, “Perfect is the enemy of done.”

The food and “Happy Thanksgiving” banner are both from Junk Food (that store always makes me laugh and is so fun to shop in). There is actually a full Thanksgiving meal in the box, but it didn’t all make it into the photo. Our pose and props are by Extra.

Ella Rose’s hair is from TRUTH, her sweater was a recent FLF by ISON, and her jeans are from Friday. Gavin’s sweater was a recent sale item from Nero; a white-shirt version is also in the box. Serena’s sweater and pants are by Just Because, and her necklace is an oldie but goodie from Maxie Gossamer. I love it when items are made with such quality that you can wear them for a decade or more!
