About the Images

The new SeraPlus gifts have arrived… and Luna is loving them! If you’re a Second Life resident with a Plus, Premium, or Premium Plus membership, you’re in for a treat.

Luna’s cute top and shorts are from RIOT’s SeraPlus gift: the Soleil outfit. It includes a generous fatpack loaded with colors and patterns for the top, shorts, and sash—perfect for mixing and matching all summer long.

Bonded by Stealthic, another SeraPlus gift. This long, elegant, banded ponytail comes with options for small and large heads, a full color/style HUD, and the ability to wear it in front or back. You can even choose to add curly bangs for a softer look.

And that radiant glow? It’s Okena, the SeraPlus skin gift from Glam Affair. This stunning fatpack features fifteen dark Ethereal Essence tones, each with brow and browless versions, plus bonus brow toners, eyeshadows, and lipsticks. You’ll also find a shape included for the LeLutka Avalon head; Luna is wearing the Briannon head, but as you can see, Okena looks gorgeous on her. (See below for a close-up.)

Be sure to swing by SeraPlus and grab these fabulous gifts—plus plenty more—before they disappear. Because when they’re gone… they’re GONE!

The Story

On a rare day off from her coffeehouse, Luna slipped into her favorite shorts and top and headed out for a walk. The sun warmed her skin as she strolled through the park, soaking in the lazy rhythm of a summer afternoon. Birds chirped in the trees, children giggled in the distance, and a soft breeze rustled the petals of wildflowers growing along the edges of the path.

She had no real destination in mind, just the desire to feel sunshine on her face and the freedom of having nowhere to be. Her long braid bounced with each step as she wandered past picnic blankets and couples on benches. Eventually, the winding path opened into a quiet garden clearing shaded by a wide umbrella. A small, vintage-style lemonade stand stood beneath it, decorated with hand-painted signs and rows of colorful drink dispensers lined neatly in a row.

And pigeons. So many pigeons.

At least five of them were perched nearby, on the tabletop, the umbrella pole, and even the handle of the lemonade cart. Luna paused a few steps away, unsure whether to approach. One pigeon tilted its head and blinked at her with mild curiosity, its feathers shimmering green and purple in the sunlight. Another strutted confidently across the grass like it owned the place.

“Well, hello, gentlemen,” Luna said with a chuckle. “You here for the lemonade too?”

She glanced around but saw no vendor. The stand appeared unattended, though a handwritten note taped to the cart read: “Back in 10. Help yourself and leave a coin if you can. -J.”

Luna smiled. “Trusting soul,” she murmured.

Curiosity won out over caution. She stepped closer and inspected the drink dispensers, each one filled with a different pastel-hued lemonade: lavender, strawberry basil, honey mint, and classic lemon. Each container had a neat little spigot, and a stack of compostable paper cups sat beside them under the umbrella’s shade.

Luna selected the honey mint—it glowed like liquid sunshine—and filled a cup with a satisfying glug-glug from the spout. A nearby pigeon ruffled its feathers but made no move to flee. She took a sip and let the cool, tangy sweetness wash over her tongue, with just a whisper of mint lingering on the finish.

She closed her eyes for a moment, letting the flavor transport her to a memory of lazy summers as a kid: bare feet on warm pavement, lemon seeds floating in mason jars, her grandma humming an old song in the kitchen.

A flutter of wings brought her back to the present. One pigeon had taken flight and landed closer, as if curious about her drink. Another pecked gently at a crumb on the table. Luna laughed, amused.

“You guys really are the park patrol,” she said. “Tell you what, if I drop a coin in the jar, do I get extra protection on the walk home?”

She reached into her purse and dropped a few coins into the tin can labeled “Lemon Love Donations.” The soft clink made a couple of the pigeons cock their heads.

Luna leaned against the cart and sipped her lemonade, watching the birds. They weren’t graceful. More like scrappy little comedians with feathers and attitude. But there was something charming about their unapologetic presence. In a world always pushing for perfection, the pigeons just… existed. And today, that felt kind of beautiful.

After a few more minutes of peaceful sipping and bird-watching, Luna noticed a girl in overalls emerging from the other side of the clearing, balancing a basket of lemons. She waved when she saw Luna.

“Hey! Thanks for waiting,” the girl said. “I had to run home and grab more fruit.”

Luna smiled and raised her cup. “It was worth the wait.”

“Glad you think so,” the girl replied, setting down her basket. “The pigeons keep watch when I’m out, so I don’t mind leaving the stand open. They’re my regulars.”

Luna laughed. “They’re definitely loyal. One of them nearly tried to steal my spot.”

The two women chatted for a bit longer, sharing stories of summer days, neighborhood oddities—like the saxophone-playing squirrel impersonator who occasionally busked near the duck pond—and what it was like to run their own businesses. Luna talked about the early mornings at her coffeehouse, the satisfaction of perfecting a pastry recipe, and the occasional chaos of foam art competitions. The girl, whose name was Joy, shared how she had started the lemonade stand with just one old dispenser and a basket of fruit from her grandmother’s tree.

“Some days, I make ten coins. Other days, I make a hundred,” Joy said with a shrug. “But I always make friends.”

Eventually, Luna thanked her and continued on her walk, the now half-empty cup swinging gently in her hand.

As she walked away, a pigeon let out a proud coo from atop the umbrella.

Luna looked back and called out, “You’re doing great, officer!”

And with a smile, she disappeared down the sun-dappled path, leaving the pigeons to guard their sweet little kingdom.
